Primrose Wood Natural Burial Ground is a new burial site in Little Waldingfield, near Lavenham, where people can be laid to rest in a developing broadleaved woodland. We offer the greenest alternative to a traditional burial and a spiritual place where nature will flourish.
People often choose a green burial as they see death as a source of life and view the body as a gift to the earth to nurture new life – trees, flowers and wildlife - rather than something to be disposed of. There is no such thing as an unkempt grave in a natural burial ground - nature ‘looks after’ the grave.
Natural burials or the interment or scattering of ashes will be open to people of all faiths or none. We will accommodate different customs and ceremonies as long as they respect the natural ethos of the growing woodland.
You can pre-purchase a single or double plot for future use, offering peace of mind and helping to plan ahead with care. Or simply get in touch in time of need.
We can also offer our beautiful Tudor Barn for a service or post-funeral gathering for a celebration of life - and accommodation before or after the event.
